Description

Valves4You Ltd is a Prema-Service distributor for Great Britain, supplying PREMAFLEX pinch valves, replacement sleeves, spare parts and application support for UK projects.

PREMAFLEX pneumatic pinch valves provide a simple full-bore route for isolating, regulating or dosing liquid, viscous, granular, contaminated, fibrous and aggressive media. Typical applications include pneumatic conveying, food and pharmaceutical processing, plastics and chemicals, environmental technology, wastewater treatment, plant engineering, construction and mining.

How a PREMAFLEX pinch valve works

Control pressure is applied around a highly elastic elastomer sleeve inside the valve housing. The sleeve closes towards the centre line to shut off the product flow, including media containing suspended solids. When the control pressure is released, the sleeve returns to its open shape and restores the nominal bore; line pressure can assist this reopening action.

Available configurations

  • Pneumatic PREMAFLEX designs in metal or engineered plastic housings
  • Grey cast iron, aluminium, steel and stainless-steel metallic routes
  • Plastic constructions for applications requiring chemical resistance
  • Handwheel and safety-position arrangements where the operating philosophy requires them
  • Application-specific elastomer sleeves, controls, pressure regulation and quick-exhaust accessories

Important application points

Selection depends on nominal bore, process pressure, control pressure, temperature, medium, connection, materials, switching frequency and required failure position. Manufacturer guidance indicates that many pneumatic installations use a control-to-process differential of about 2 bar, but the exact value must be confirmed from the model datasheet. Standard pneumatic designs normally open if control pressure is lost; safety arrangements are available where this is not acceptable.

PREMAFLEX valves may be considered for low-vacuum duties, liquid control media and specialist installation positions, subject to model-specific confirmation. They must not be assumed to be gas-tight, and underwater or unusual environmental duties require the correct coating and technical review.

Specification and quote support

Send Valves4You Ltd the medium, particle content, nominal bore, connection, operating pressure and temperature, available control pressure, housing preference, sleeve material, cycle frequency and required failure position. We will confirm the appropriate PREMAFLEX route and current availability for Great Britain.
